Saab 9-5 Sportcombi 2010 : DNA Collectibles pays tribute to the last Saab
As mentioned earlier, the Saab 9-5 Sportcombi was the last Saab presented to the public, and as a consequence, one of the last Saab to leave the Trollhättan factory before Saab’s bankruptcy in December 2011. So this car is emotional to us, and probably to you too…
But let’s be factual now! We have a lot to say about our beautiful 1/18 scale model car replica, so follow us.
First of all, we decided to develop the body of the Saab 9-5 Sportcombi with the Aero pack in Fjord Blue as requested by our community! The paint job is just perfect, even more if you look at it under natural light to reveal its magnificent shine.
To match the real car and to enhance the final rendering, we applied chromed parts around the perforated front grill, the headlight and fog lights, around the windows, below the back stop light line on the trunk and finally on the trunk handle.
Compared to our previous version released last year, this time we decided to select the same grey turbine rims as we applied on our Saab 9-5 Aero Sedan. Some would say it is a small change, we think it brings more character to the miniature car!
Of course, we didn’t forget the several badges around the car:
- The Saab logo on the hood and on the center caps of the rims
- The “Saab” on the front grill and on the back stop light line
- The “Turbo” and the “95 AWD” on the trunk
Regarding the Beige and Black inside, the level of quality and rendering is also gorgeous.
Just look at all the tiny details in the cockpit: the photo etched chromed elements applied around the gear lever and on the steering wheel, the GPS with the Saab logo, the “Saab” badge on the steering wheel, the indications written on the right wipers switch and on the left turn signal switch, the seat belts made of real fabric… Everything to feel like you are looking at the actual car.
