The Volkswagen Golf GTE Sport Concept was revealed to the world in 2015, and this car impressed the world by its specs and features.
First of all, the GTE Sport Concept is equipped with the plug-in hybrid system, also know as PHEV, for an eco-friendly driving. But this car is not only ecologic, but also very powerful and efficient! Its 1.6-liter TSI engine is an adaptation of the 2 times World Rally Champion Polo R WRC:
* 401 hp
* Maximum torque of 670 Nm
* 0 – 62 mph (0 – 100 km/h) in 4.3 seconds
* Top speed 174 mph (280 km/h)
* Fuel economy : amazingly 118 mpg (1.99 l/100)! and can drive up to 31 miles (50 km) solely on electric power
Let’s talk about the design and the features now…
The Golf GTE Sport’s dynamic shape has a C-pillars with a 2 level design. This is not only aesthetic but also functional to enhance the aerodynamic downforce and the cooling of the rear breaks! The body is mainly made of lightweight carbon fiber. The interior is just gorgeous: stylish, classy, and functional! Equipped with racing bucket seats and five points belts, a steering column, paddle shifters on the steering wheel, carbon fiber and microfiber everywhere… You feel like you are going to start a Grand Prix race!
