Subaru Impreza

The Subaru Impreza, called スバル・インプレッサ in japanese, is a compact car manufactured since 1992 until nowadays to replace the Subaru Leone.One of the first to hit the streets was the Subaru Impreza GT Turbo 2000.

Driven by Colin McRae in World Rally Championship, this car has been famous for winning several titles. In the WRC livery, the blue paint with “555” decoration was iconic.

The Impreza passed by no more than five different generations over the time! DNA collectibles decided to replicate the first generation Subaru Impreza GT Turbo 2000. Since its launch, the Impreza was available both in FWD (front-wheek drive) and AWD (all-wheel drive) and both in four-door sedan and five-door wagon. A two-door coupé was also manufactured in late 1995 to widen the range.

The Impreza feature a special engine architecture, the 2.0 Turbo Boxer, meaning that the pistons are placed horizontally. The engine sound is very distinctive from other manufacturer, and is a pleasure for the ears!

The European GT model received a special treatment regarding the front brakes, the wheels, the front bucket seats, the firmer suspension and a new 160 kW engine during the phase 2 (218 PS; 215 bhp) which represents an increase of 5 kW comparing to the previous version (7 PS; 7 bhp).
