Volvo 244 Turbo 1/18

The Volvo 244 Turbo 1/18 scale model car is an exclusivity by DNA Collectibles available in limited series in 4 different body colors: Wine Red, Silver, Black, and Glacier Blue. The paint job is fantastic, isn’t it ?

Let’s stand a bit in front of this splendid 1/18 miniature car to admire the perforated front grill integrating the typical Volvo diagonal bar with the logo and the turbo inscription on the right. This is so finely reproduced that you can see the radiator behind it.
The small wipers were accurately affixed to the beautifully engraved headlights.
Below the bumper, we can see the front spoiler adding a sporty touch to the scale model car.

By moving along the side of the car, you can notice that the chrome door handles were added as separate parts. The Volvo inscriptions are accurately applied on the front wings.
The wheels are very interesting to look at, what do you think about the level of details of the sporty designed 5 spokes rims letting you see the brake discs behind ? Even the mudguards with Volvo logo written on them were replicated on our scale model car.
Running from the front sides to the rear of the car, the black matt protection trim topped by a black stripe sticker adds some kind of elegance to the general cubic design.

On the trunk, the Volvo and Turbo inscriptions were precisely affixed. Below them, the engraved rear lights are flawlessly reproduced to feel like you are in front of the real car. We pushed the realism to the paroxysm by perfectly replicating the 13 dotted vents below the rear window. This level of details is purely the DNA Collectibles signature.

Let’s start with the harmonious bicolor black and white interior cockpit. The beautifully crafted white upholstery seats let you feel the 80’s spirit within this uncluttered Swedish design.
As usual, the dashboard is gorgeous and full of details such as the special gauges related to the Turbo version which were correctly inserted in our 1/18 miniature model : the analog clock, the turbo pressure, the oil pressure and temperature, and the battery voltage.
The electric windows with corresponding buttons on the driver door panel were not forgotten in the process.
Instead of moulding everything into one block, we alway strive to add several separate parts to bring as much realism as possible, such as:

• the door handles
• the steering wheel with the turbo logo on it
• the gear lever
• the hand brake
• the headrests
• the central mirror

Icing on the cake to prove how dedicated to absolute precision we are, even the “Volvo HT-173” inscription is visible on the aluminum ring of the door panel speakers ! The seat belts are made of real fabric and the buckles are photo etched parts.
