Let’s start with the front of the miniature car.
Below the Saab logo meticulously applied on the bonnet, the perforated front gill integrates the Saab inscription on its chromed trim. Sharp eyes can notice the radiator behind it. What a great touch ! On top of the special Airflow front bumper, we perfectly replicated the dotted intake lines as well as the lower central air intake below it.
Still part of the Airflow kit, the fog lights are duly integrated on each side of the front bumper.
If you already know DNA Collectibles’ dedication to precision, you won’t be surprised to see that we brought special attention to reproduce as correctly as possible the complex engraved background shape of the headlights behind the lenses. Don’t you feel you are in front of the real car ?

If you have a look at our Saab 900 Turbo T16 Airflow 1/18 scale model car from a lateral point of view, you will discover the very typical Saab’s slender design easily recognizable among all other cars. This is how Saab differentiated itself from the rest of the car industry ! What a shame that this genius car maker had to finally disappear…
Several separate parts were applied on this fantastic miniature car:

• The turning signal
• The side mirrors
• The door handles
• The lateral air vents on which you can actually see the 4 screws that hold them to the body

The bicolor 3 spoke 16 inch Aero Alloy rims are perfectly replicated where even the “Saab” inscription on the center caps are clearly visible.

This is the time to focus on the rear of the car now.
The surprising spoiler with its black flat extension from the Airflow kit is probably what’s catching your attention first.
Below the spoiler, on the trunk, we didn’t miss replicate neither the “Saab” inscription and the Saab logo on the left, nor the “900 Turbo” and the “16 valve” inscriptions on the right.
Let’s jump back in the 80s with the rear reflector panels between the rear lights ! It was so cool and stylish at the time. On each side, the engraved rear lights are also beautifully crafted where no detail was forgotten. Look at the screws reproduced on the light lenses !
Our miniature car was equipped with the optional double tips sport exhaust to highlight the sporty look of this magnificent Saab 900 Turbo T16 Airflow scale model.

The dashboard is filled with amazing details.
As Saab was the one of the first manufacturers to use the Turbo on a car, they added a specific turbo boost gauge on the instrument cluster that we replicated with absolute precision.
It was not unusual for vintage models, with powerful engines, to be equipped with additional gauges to display more interesting data. This miniature Saab 900 integrates 3 additional gauges on the lower part of the central console.
What do you think about the equalizer fitted in addition to the radio on the central console ? Imagine yourself setting up the best parameters to loudly listen to the last ABBA album !

As usual, we prefered to add several separate parts to bring as much realism as possible instead of moulding everything into one block:

• The steering wheel with the pretty yellow and red stripes decoration and the Saab logo
• The hand brake
• The gear lever
• The central mirror
• The third stop light on the trunk cover panel

Of course, to be perfectly in harmony with Saab’s traditions, we accurately positioned the ignition keyhole between the two front seats.

The wonderful design of the supportive and comfortable leather bucket seats is absolutely stunning. On top of that and as usual, our seat belts are made of real fabric and the buckles are photo etched parts.
